ALMA (Association Licentiates & Masters SSMW/TAW of the Royal Military Academy) has the pleasure to invite you to her yearly academic session which will take place in the Conference hall at the Royal Military Academy on Tuesday 21 October 2025, starting at 1700Hr.
This year major-general Harold VAN PEE, Director Strategy at the Cabinet of Defence, will be our guest speaker with following topic: "The Strategic Vision of Defence" .
As is tradition, this will be followed by a Q&A session.
At the end of the academic session ALMA will award the prize ALMA best thesis to the laureate of the 161th Promotion Social & Military Sciences.
The session will be concluded with a reception, to which all participants are invited. Participation to the academic session is free, but if you wish to also join the follow-on reception, you are asked to pay in advance a financial contribution of 15€ to the ALMA bank account: BE89 3100 6419 4585. All members of ALMA and the students of the RMA are exempted from this fee (offered by Alumni ALMA).
FYI: membership to ALMA only costs 20€ on a yearly basis for all Pers up to Senior Captain (OF-3), so perhaps simply easier & better to just become a member! All membership fees are put to use solely for the purpose of supporting the SSMW faculty and its alumni heritage.
